Submit an Article to SOTAC Magazine

SOTAC Magazine is interested in publishing articles, which explore or relate to the Arts & Culture Community. Although based in Charlotte, NC, we welcome submissions from writers all over the world. We seek articles of moderate length. This is your opportunity to be published in a quarterly magazine that is making quite an impact locally, nationally and even internationally. SOTAC magazine caters to the artistic and cultural interests of cosmopolitan professionals. SOTAC's articles, photography and overall image set it apart stylistically from other online publications. The voice and imagery of the magazine clicks with the most affluent, fashionable and influential adults looking for ways to diversify and enhance their lifestyles. SOTAC readers are active, sophisticated, entrepreneurial minded, and socially aware. Our readers value the arts and have a desire to stay educated and enriched.

Guidelines for SOTAC Articles:

• Articles should be well written, imaginative and informative.
• Articles ideally should be between 350 and 750 words in length. (Article length may vary depending on topic)
• Articles should include a short biography of the author. (50-100 words)
• Articles should not be vehicles for self-promotion.
• Articles must be accompanied by an author certification.

Possible Topics for Articles

Domestic and International Travel, Interior Design/Architecture,  Art & Collectible Auctions,  Independent Film (reviews, festivals, etc.), Gallery Openings Reviews (books, performances, i.e. theatre, dance, opera, restaurants), Cultural Commentary, Historical Artists profiles (1900s-1980s) *artists can also include composers, opera singers, classically trained musicians, dancers and the like, Poetry and Short Prose...Have an idea for an article? How It Works

Authors can submit articles as Microsoft Word or text format attachments via email. The document should be sent to editor@sotacmag.com. Included with the document must be the author's name, email address, title of the article, and a short professional biography. In addition, the Author Certification statement below must be included in your email. If it is not, SOTAC Magazine is unable to consider your material for publication.

Author Certification:

"I certify that I am the author or sole owner of the material I am submitting to SOTAC Magazine. SOTAC Magazine and its licensees may reproduce, distribute, publish, display, edit, modify, create derivative works and otherwise use the material for any purpose in any form and on any media. I agree to indemnify SOTAC Magazine for all damages and expenses that may be incurred in connection with the material."

By submitting an article, the author gives SOTAC Magazine exclusive publishing rights to the article for 120 days, beginning the first day the article is published. After 120 days, SOTAC Magazine retains non-exclusive rights. This requirement is in addition to the author certification and other permissions provided. Thank you for your interest in SOTAC Magazine.
